2011 MESA FilmFest

The MESA FilmFest was started in 1983 by Ellen-Fairbanks D. Bodman of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The first FilmFest showed 11 films, and now screens over 36 documentaries and 4 to 6 feature films annually. Mrs. Bodman was responsible for creating the prestigious film and video collection, now known as the Ellen-Fairbanks D. Bodman Collection of Middle East and Islamic World Films housed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Media Resource Library.

The FilmFest runs concurrently and continuously through the MESA conference: December 01-04, 2011 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC. Entry to the FilmFest is part of conference registration. You must be a registered attendee with a badge to gain entrance.

For information, contact Nadia Hlibka, FilmFest Coordinator (520-621-7073; nhlibka@email.arizona.edu).
