2013 MESA FilmFest
The MESA FilmFest was started in 1983 by Ellen-Fairbanks D. Bodman of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The first FilmFest showed 11 films, and now screens over 36 documentaries and 4 to 6 feature films annually. Mrs. Bodman was responsible for creating the prestigious film and video collection, now known as the Ellen-Fairbanks D. Bodman Collection of Middle East and Islamic World Films housed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Media Resource Library.
2013 FilmFest Call for Entries
The 2013 MESA FilmFest Committee seeks submissions in DVD format for FilmFest 2013 to be screened during the Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, October 10-13, 2013. All entries will be reviewed by members of the FilmFest Committee and coordinated by Thomas B. Stevenson. Films should be in DVD (must be region-free), in English or with English subtitles. Video streaming links will be accepted for preview, however, if accepted, 2 DVDs must be available and arrive at the Secretariat 3 weeks before the conference.

Submissions will not be returned (unless previous arrangements are made) and will be donated to the Ellen-Fairbanks D. Bodman Collection of Middle Eastern and Islamic World Films housed at the Media Resources Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (www.lib.unc.edu/house/mrc/pages/collection/bodman.html).
